June 8 is Old Santa Ynez Day. This is the annual celebration where the Old West comes to life as the frontier town of Santa Ynez celebrates its birthday with a classic parade, food and entertainment all along Sagunto Street in downtown Santa Ynez. Street vendors including arts and crafts, antiques and collectibles, local products, and foods are there. Join the fun with your whole family.
Spend that afternoon in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley tasting wine from 25 local wineries, listening to world-class professional jazz musicians, and sampling thirty different olive-themed dishes prepared by local chefs. The Jazz and Olive Festival is presented by the Los Olivos Rotary Club and all funds generated from the event are used for the charitable projects supported in part by the Rotary Club.
The Wine Country Bike Trek is a go-at-your-own pace ride for cyclists of all levels, giving riders the choice of a one-day ride on Saturday, June 14 or three days of riding, Friday June 14 through Sunday, June 16, and allowing participants to choose from a 30- or 50-mile route each day that leads them through the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley with fully-catered SAG stops every 10 miles.
