Bark at the Park

Thursday, September 29th, 2011

The Bark at the Park family festival will run from October 13-16 right here in Buellton. The festival has something for everyone and every dog, including agility trials, demonstrations, sheep herding, dog shows, a farmer’s market, wine and art exhibits and food vendors.

There will also be many vendors selling products and services for your dog, from toys and beds to pet pampering and massage. And for the humans, local wineries and vineyards as well as farms and restaurants will have wine and food for sale at the markets and exhibits.

All the events take place at the beautiful Buellton River View Park, surrounded by mountains and wine country. The weather should be perfect, the dogs will be out and the whole family will have a great time staying at Flying Flags and coming out to Bark in the Park.

Flying Flags RV Resort is the best place to stay for pet friendly lodging near the event. Sites are filling up fast so reserve your spot now!

Celebrate the harvest

Thursday, September 22nd, 2011

Flying Flags RV Resort is in the middle of wine country here in California, and the Celebration of Harvest is a big event held right in the middle of the grape harvesting season for local vineyards.

This is a great event to come out to if you’re staying with us in October because you can really experience the sights, sounds and tastes of the area.

The festival will be held at the Rancho Sisquoc Winery on October 8 from 1 to 4 p.m. Local restaurants, caterers and specialty shops will offer wine and food samples. Local artists Margie Nelson and Sean Wiggins & lOne gOat will play live tunes, and ‘Sideways’ author Rex Pickett will sign copies of his follow-up book ‘Vertical’.

The festival may only last for a few hours, but local wineries and restaurants hold open houses and events all weekend, so check out the festival website for the full schedule. Reserve your site at Flying Flags today to experience wine country and celebrate the harvest.
