Culture at the Winery

Get a taste of wine and of the arts when you stay with us at Flying Flags RV Resort in Santa Barbara wine country. A couple area wineries and vineyards will be hosting music and movie series to offer something extra with their locally grown and bottled wines.

The Firestone Vineyard in the nearby city of Los Olivos will continue its free concert series through October with local musicians, BBQ available for purchase, discounts on wines and merchandise and wines to purchase by the glass or bottle. Friday October 5 will feature Burning James and the Funky Flames who as you may have guessed, perform funk and soul. Friday October 12 BoneDog will perform classic rock covers. Guests are welcome to bring their own picnics but no outside alcohol is allowed.

Also in Los Olivos, the Zaca Mesa Winery & Vineyards will host a couple movie showings in their courtyard, starting with a Western themed movie night on October 13. The movie hasn’t been decided yet, but 4 free movie tickets will be awarded to the winning movie suggestion. Email your suggestions to kori@zacamesa.com and come out to the movie night starting at 7:30 p.m. and bring a blanket. Tickets for general admission are $10, which includes a glass of Syrah wine.

The winery will host a holiday movie night on December 8 showing “Elf”. the show will start at 6 p.m. and candy will be provided by Zaca Mesa. This showing will be open to all ages and will be a fun family event near the holidays. 2012 Vintner’s festival

This is one of the area’s biggest events of the year, and you won’t want to miss it! Taste delicious, locally made wines, enjoy great food, listening to live music and meet plenty of new people.

The main festival takes place outdoors in nearby Los Olivos and will feature wines from over 100 local vendors, food from local master chefs, and a silent auction.
