Buellton Wine & Chili Festival

Make sure you reserve your RV site or cottage now for the First Annual Buellton Wine and Chili Festival right here at Flying Flags RV Resort. This inaugural event will feature some of the best local wineries, restaurants and chefs, with awards for best red chili, chili verde and salsa.

Guests will participate in judging for the People’s Choice Awards, so come out and taste some chili, wine and have a great time with family and friends. A ticket will get you a wine glass, unlimited wine tastings, ten chili tastings and a BBQ lunch with live music.

Valentine’s in the Valley

Spend Valentine’s Day at Flying Flags RV Resort in beautiful California wine country. You can relax in your RV or one of our cozy furnished cottages, or have a romantic night out in Buellton or nearby Solvang. There are plenty of restaurants, wineries and shops hosting events and offering specials for Valentine’s Day.

In Solvang, the Elverhoj Museum will host a Valley Wines & Valentines fundraiser on February 14. This event will feature award-winning wines from local vintners, appetizers including cheese and chocolate. There will also be live music, a silent auction and a raffle. Tickets are $20, and include a wine glass, wine tasting and appetizers.

Firestone Winery in Los Olivos will host a Valentine’s Day Dinner on Saturday February 16. There will be a three course dinner and dessert with a chocolate theme, pairing dinner, dessert and wines together. Dinner will start at 6 and there is limited space available so RSVP to tastingroom@firestonewine.com ahead of time.

And for the holidays it’s easy to see what wineries and restaurants will be hosting special events for Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Listings range from live music to pub trivia to fundraisers and festivals. Buellton Winterfest

It’s not too late to reserve your RV site or cottage for Buellton’s exciting 1st Annual Winterfest all day Sunday, December 2. All events will be within walking distance of Flying Flags RV Resort and you’ll have a warm and cozy place to come home to with award winning facilities and amenities.

Winterfest will kick off with a Breakfast with Santa from 9 a.m. to noon. General admission is $12 but is free for kids 10 and under, and includes a full breakfast and pictures with Santa Claus in the Buellton Rec Center Gym! Then come back to the Rec Center at 4 p.m. for the free Concert, Cookies & Cocoa. Local young musicians will perform while you snack on cookies and hot chocolate to get in the holiday spirit.

From 4 to 8 p.m. the Holiday Village will be open to the public, with live music, food and beverages, real snow, crafts, a photo booth and more. And don’t miss the Light Parade and Caroling Cruise at 6 p.m. with lighted hay trucks, decorated vehicles and caroling leading up to the Christmas Tree Lighting at 7 p.m. Countdown to Santa lighting the tree at Avenue of Flags and First Street to really get the holiday season started.
