New Luxury Coming to Flying Flags

New luxury cottages and custom renovated Airstream travel trailers will be ready for rental by May 1 at Flying Flags RV Resort.

Cottages are all loft units with wrap-around decks. They will be ready, complete with new decks furnishings, by the end of April. Everyone who is on the waiting list will be contacted next week to confirm those reservations.

The six Airstreams will be themed and will feature modern luxuries and vintage appeal. We have hired a design team to completely renovate the vintage 1960s Airstreams in custom styles and themes. The iconic Airstreams, nicknamed “the Silver Bullets,” are the most recognized RV on the road today. Once completed, these Airstreams will offer the most unique camping experience in the market. Availability is expected starting in May.

Meanwhile, pool and splash zones reopen this weekend after getting beautiful new patios and sidewalks. More great things are coming to Flying Flags RV Resort.

 If you enjoyed the Wine & Chili Festival on St. Patrick’s Day at Flying Flags, then you’ll like the 2nd Annual Buellton Brew Fest on May 11, which will feature craft beer from various brewers along with music, food and fun. This inaugural event takes place at the River View Park in Buellton from noon to 4 p.m.

 A sellout in its first year, the Buellton Brew Fest will be even bigger and better this year, with more craft brewers along with a craft soda component for the designated drivers.

 Bring your beach chair and blankets and plan to jam to the sounds of “Burning James and the Funky Flames” while you enjoy a beautiful day at River View Park in Buellton at the Buellton Brew Fest.  And top it off by staying at Flying Flags RV Resort!

Wine & Chili Festival on March 17

St. Patrick’s Day weekend has arrived and that means Flying Flags RV Resort is ready for the inaugural Buellton Wine & Chili Festival on Sunday afternoon.

Some of the best local chefs will compete at Flying Flags to take home cash prizes for the best Red Chili, Chile Verde and Homemade Salsa in Santa Ynez Valley.

This new St. Patrick’s Day tradition kicks off at noon and runs to 4 p.m.

Guests get to participate in the People’s Choice awards and decide who has the best Red Chili, best Chile Verde, best Salsa, best Booth Showmanship, and best red and white wines.

The award-winning Flying Flags Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground is ideally located in Wine Country, only five minutes from the Danish town of Solvang and the Chumash Casino Resort.

A new tradition begins on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, at Flying Flags RV Resort with the inaugural Buellton Wine & Chili Festival.

Some of the best local chefs will compete to take home cash prizes for the best Red Chili, Chile Verde and Homemade Salsa in Santa Ynez Valley.

Meanwhile, visitors to Flying Flags see that our 2013 resort improvements are well underway and should be ready by spring break (end of March). We are remodeling the swimming pool area with cabanas, new surfacing and furnishings. The front patio will be nicely lit and feature a gas crystal fireplace and sofas. New splash pad water features will also be built next to the playground and pool.

And the dogs won’t be left out either, with a new, much larger dog park location under trees. We also have several new cottages and vintage Airstream rental units on the way. You are going to love the changes!

Please keep in mind if you are visiting us between now and the end of March, there will be construction areas and some amenities (like our pool and spas) that may not be available when you are here. We are doing our best to keep things quiet & clean but we do have improvements underway.

Buellton Wine & Chili Festival
