Upcoming SPECIAL Moments

November 26-29: Thanksgiving weekend at Flying Flags is a tradition. Families have been celebrating their holiday outdoors with us for 30 years. You can’t imagine how delicious the resort smells from early Thanksgiving morning. Outdoor movies will be screened over the weekend with special ice cream treats at our café.

December 4-5: Come enjoy the Solvang Julefest weekend with the annual Tree-Lighting Ceremony. Held in Solvang Park starting at 5 p.m., enjoy free musical entertainment, refreshments and caroling followed by the arrival of Old Saint Nick. Then on Saturday, the annual Julefest Parade begins at 11am featuring Santa and Mrs. Claus as Grand Marshalls this year. Entries include Danish dancers, musical groups, vintage vehicles, horses, carriages and animals. December 5: The Huber Cellars will be hosting “Cheers for Charlotte” a wine tasting event to benefit the Santa Ynez Valley Humane Society from 1 - 4 p.m. Along with Huber Cellars, Flying Goat, Clos Pepe, and Chien will be pouring. Tickets are $25.00 and can be purchased at the Humane Society, by calling (805) 688-8224, or at the door. This event will be held rain or shine, 4892 Hapgood Road, Lompoc.

December 12: The "Christmas Story" comes to life in the Nativity Pageant at the outdoor Solvang Festival Theater. Enjoy a choir, actors in traditional costumes and live animals on stage. There are two FREE performances at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., with seating on a first come, first entertained basis.

December 18: The Winter Solstice Party will feature candle lighting, carolers and singing to mark this special time of the year. Held in Solvang Park starting at 6 p.m., all ages are welcome to join this festive, free celebration.
