How far in advance can I book?

Stays can be scheduled up to 11 months in advance by either booking online or over the phone.

Do Your Discounts and Promotions Have Blackout Dates?

Discounts and promotion codes cannot be used for the following holiday and special event periods:

What is Your Cancelation Policy?

Our cancelation policy varies depending on your reservation type and whether your reservation falls on a holiday or special event. All cancellations must be made by phone (805-688-3716) or email ([email protected]) during business hours. And cancellation-processing fees will also be charged on cancellations made outside of the cancellation window.

RV Sites:
3-day advance notice required or forfeit first-night deposit
Cancellation Processing Fee: $10

Cabins, Cottages & Glamping Sites:
10-day advance notice required or forfeit first-night deposit
Cancellation Processing Fee: $25

Major Holiday / Special Event Cancellation Policy:
All cancellations are subject to forfeiture of the first night's stay. Reservations require a minimum deposit equal to the first night’s stay at the time of reservations. This policy applies to all reservation types.

What is your Pet Policy?

RV Sites: Pets welcome and must be registered at the Front Desk upon arrival. Dogs must be leashed and watched at all times, cats and exotic pets must be kept inside.

Hospitality Units: 2 dogs max. A one-time non-refundable pet fee of $50.00 will apply. We accept service animals, if an accident occurs in the room and a deep clean is needed, there will be a $150 fee added to the room. For the protection of, and in consideration of our guests, noisy, vicious or unruly pets are not allowed. Guests who are unable to control their pets must remove them from the premises, or the animal may be taken by local animal control authorities. Cats and exotic pets are strictly prohibited.

Do you have a minimum stay requirement?

We require a three-night minimum stay on Fridays and Saturdays. We also require a three-night minimum during select holidays and regional events including: Presidents Day, Century Bike Rides, Spring Break, Danish Days, Prelude Bike, and anytime from Christmas through New Year's Day. We require a four-night minimum to stay with us for Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day or Thanksgiving

What Time Is Check-In? What About Check-Out?

Check-in for RV sites begins at 12:30p.m. And check-in for cabins, cottages and glamping sites begins at 4:00p.m. Early check-in may be available for a fee of $45, please check with the front desk on the day of your arrival to see if it will be a possibility. Check-out time for all reservations is 11:00a.m.

Do You Offer Late Check-Out?

Depending on availability, our front desk may be able to arrange a late check-out. However, additional fees may apply. Please plan for a prompt departure to help us accommodate our next guests.

I Lost an Item. What Do I Do?

Please report any lost or stolen items to the main office immediately. We recommend keeping valuables locked up at all times.

When Are Quiet Hours?

Flying Flags’ quiet hour are 10p.m.–8a.m. Please be courteous to the guests around you. Profanity, violence towards others and destruction of property will not be tolerated. Loud, objectionable noise or amplified music is not allowed at any time. And inconsiderate guests will be asked to leave with no refund and charged an additional noise ordinance fee $500.

How Do I Connect to Your Free Wi-Fi?

  1. Turn on your computer, phone or tablet.
  2. Enable your Wi-Fi adapter, and make sure it is turned on.
  3. Connect to the Highway West Wi‑Fi Network. You must create your own Username and Password before opening your browser.
  4. Open your browser of choice (such as: Safari or Chrome).
  5. If the welcome page does not appear upon load, erase everything in the address bar and type: starttengointernet.com in the address bar.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to register and access the internet.
  7. Log in and enjoy.

What Is Your Smoking Policy?

Smoking is prohibited in all indoor accommodations (including trailers and airstreams) and within 25 feet of any building or entrance. Outdoor smoking is permitted in designated locations only. Any violation of our smoking policy may result in a fine of up to $250.

What Is This Resort Fee?

Every reservation at Flying Flags requires an additional resort fee that is specified in the reservation’s description. The Resort Fee is $23 for hotel rooms and $13 for RV guests. This fee allows us to maintain our incredible communal amenities like our pools, playground, bocce ball courts and communal fire pits.

What Flags Can Be Displayed While On Property.

During your stay with us, you may display unaltered country, sport, and vacation flags. However, no political or confederate flags may be displayed while on property. Guests will be asked for these flags to be removed if they wish to continue their stay at Flying Flags Buellton.

When displaying the American Flag, please follow proper flag etiquette which can be found here Guidelines for Display of the Flag (va.gov).

Is Tent Camping Allowed? Can Guests Have Multiple Sleeping Vehicles in RV Spaces?

Guests are not permitted to have tents intended for sleeping on RV spaces or hospitality units. Shade structures such as pop-up tents are allowed so long as they are within the confines of the space the guest has rented. One sleeping vehicle is permitted per site, parties with multiple RVs or trailers must rent multiple sites.

Are 3rd Party RV Drop Offs Allowed?

3rd party RVs are not permitted; the guest staying in the RV must be the person driving in the RV.

Making Flying Flags Accessible to All

We want every last guest to be able to fully enjoy every last amenity at Flying Flags. That’s why our ADA‑compliant property features include:

  • ADA-accessible parking near our entrance
  • Sufficient parking space to allow a ramp
  • Ramp access at all entrances and exists
  • Unobstructed pathways from the parking lot to the entrance
  • Unobstructed pathways from all of the key points of interest within the hotel to any other key point of interest
  • ADA‑accessible pool wheelchair and lift
  • ADA‑compliant bathrooms and showers in select units (Call for details)
  • Our cabins are not ADA-compliant but we have rooms available that will fit your needs at our sister property Sideways Inn.

What Steps Are You Taking to Prevent Further Spread of COVID-19?

Extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures, and at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground, we’re ramping up our safety protocols in response. We’re offering curbside check-in and convenient takeout from our café. We’re capping capacity in our communal spaces and expanding our sanitizing protocols. We’re helping guests stay socially distanced while fostering a sense of togetherness. And we’re making sure that our staff members wear personal protective equipment to keep everyone safe. We screen our staff at the beginning and end of every shift. And we use sterilizing wands to help ensure your room is clean too.
