Kids age 2 and up love The Magical Pony Encounter. Rides daily by reservation.

With 100+ giant birds, Ostrichland U.S.A is one of the biggest attractions in Buellton. Get close enough to see how you measure up to the refuge’s ostriches and emus. And try your hand feeding the birds by hand while you’re there. Ostrichland’s gift shop sells unique ostrich wares and ostrich eggs, so if you’re feeling extra adventurous, you can bring the experience to your breakfast table too.

Step into a storybook in this cozy, little museum. Just down the road in Solvang, admission is free and displays explore the life and work of Hans Christian Andersen, author of many fairytale classics like The Ugly Duckling and The Little Mermaid.
