How far in advance can I book?

Stays can be scheduled up to 11 months in advance by either booking online or over the phone.

Do your discounts and promotions have blackout dates?

Discounts and promotion codes cannot be used for the following holiday and special event periods:

What is your cancelation policy?

Our cancelation policy varies depending on your reservation type and whether your reservation falls on a holiday or special event. All cancellations must be made by phone (805-688-3716) or email ([email protected]) during business hours. And cancellation-processing fees will also be charged on cancellations made outside of the cancellation window.

RV Sites:
3-day advance notice required or forfeit first-night deposit
Cancellation Processing Fee: $10

Cabins, Cottages & Glamping Sites:
10-day advance notice required or forfeit first-night deposit
Cancellation Processing Fee: $25

Major Holiday / Special Event Cancellation Policy:
All cancellations are subject to forfeiture of the first night's stay. Reservations require a minimum deposit equal to the first night’s stay at the time of reservations. This policy applies to all reservation types.

What is your Pet Policy?

RV Sites: Pets welcome and must be registered at the Front Desk upon arrival. Dogs must be leashed and watched at all times, cats and exotic pets must be kept inside.

Hospitality Units: 2 dogs max. A one-time non-refundable pet fee of $50.00 will apply. We accept service animals, if an accident occurs in the room and a deep clean is needed, there will be a $150 fee added to the room. For the protection of, and in consideration of our guests, noisy, vicious or unruly pets are not allowed. Guests who are unable to control their pets must remove them from the premises, or the animal may be taken by local animal control authorities. Cats and exotic pets are strictly prohibited.

Do you have a minimum stay requirement?

We require a two-night minimum stay for RV sites and a three-night minimum stay for Accommodations on Fridays and Saturdays during our peak season. We require a three-night minimum for RV sites and Accommodations during select holidays and regional events including but not limited to: Presidents Day, Century Bike Rides, Spring Break, Danish Days, Prelude Bike, and anytime from Christmas through New Year's Day. We require a four-night minimum to stay with us for Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day or Thanksgiving.

What time is Check-In? What about Check-Out?

Check-in for RV sites begins at 12:30p.m. And check-in for cabins, cottages and glamping sites begins at 4:00p.m. Check-out time for all reservations is 11:00a.m.

Do you offer late Check-Out?

You may check with the front desk on the day of your departure to assess availability for the late check-out charged at $15 until 1:00p.m. and $45 until 6:00p.m. Late check-outs are not guaranteed. Please plan for a prompt departure to help us accommodate our next guests.

Do I have to wear the issued wristband?

In our commitment to providing an exclusive experience, we provide property wristbands for all resort guests. Wristbands will be issued at check-in and are required to be worn at the pools. This will ensure only registered guests have access to the pools and play areas allowing everyone to enjoy our amenities fully. Wristbands are required for all guests aged 3 and above.

If registered guests have family members and/or friends visiting during their stay, they will need to stop at the registration desk and pick up an extra wristband that is available for an extra cost per guest per day (max 4 per reservation).

Additional Daily Visitors - $20 per person, maximum of 4 guests per reservation. Additional guests are only allowed when the resort occupancy is at or below 60%. Guests can confirm availability of guest passes at the front desk. This policy is subject to change based on occupancy levels.

I lost an item, what do I do?

Please report any lost or stolen items to the main office immediately. We recommend keeping valuables locked up at all times. If we find an item in your cottage that was left behind, we will email you a link for recovery and send back your item as soon as possible!

When are quiet hours?

Flying Flags’ quiet hours are 10p.m.–8a.m. Please be courteous to the guests around you. Profanity, violence towards others and destruction of property will not be tolerated. Loud, objectionable noise or amplified music is not allowed at any time. Guests found to be uncompliant with our policies could be assessed a $250 noise violation fine and could be asked to leave the property without a refund.

Why does Flying Flags have Park Rangers?

To improve your experience, our Park Rangers will be actively present throughout the property to assist you, answer any questions, and ensure everyone enjoys a safe and pleasant stay. Their duties include:

  • Answering Questions - Providing information and assisting with guest inquiries.
  • Rule Enforcement - Ensuring compliance with resort regulations.
  • Noise and Traffic Management - Keeping the resort peaceful and orderly.
  • Property Monitoring - Actively touring the property to mitigate problems, enhance security, and promote guest safety and enjoyment.

How do I connect to your free wi-fi?

  1. Turn on your computer, phone or tablet.
  2. Enable your Wi-Fi adapter, and make sure it is turned on.
  3. Connect to the Highway West Wi‑Fi Network. You must create your own Username and Password before opening your browser.
  4. Open your browser of choice (such as: Safari or Chrome).
  5. If the welcome page does not appear upon load, erase everything in the address bar and type: starttengointernet.com in the address bar.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to register and access the internet.
  7. Log in and enjoy.

What is your smoking policy?

Smoking is prohibited in all indoor accommodations (including trailers and airstreams) and within 25 feet of any building or entrance. Outdoor smoking is permitted in designated locations only. Any violation of our smoking policy may result in a fine of up to $250.

What is the resort fee?

Every reservation at Flying Flags requires an additional resort fee that is included in the room rate. The Resort Fee is $23 for cottage & cabin accommodations and $13 for RV guests. This fee allows us to maintain our incredible communal amenities like our pools, playground, bocce ball courts and communal fire pits.

What flags can be displayed while on property?

During your stay with us, you may display unaltered country, sport, and vacation flags. However, no political or confederate flags may be displayed while on property. Guests will be asked for these flags to be removed if they wish to continue their stay at Flying Flags Buellton. Any political insignia that is found to be disrespectful is strictly prohibited and will be requested to be covered or removed.  Any guest found to uncompliant with this policy may be asked to leave without a refund and could be ineligible for a return stay.

Is tent camping allowed? Can guests have multiple sleeping vehicles in RV spaces?

We have a batch of sites dedicated to good old fashioned tent camping. Tents are only allowed to be set up in these sites. Shade structures such as pop-up tents are allowed so long as they are within the confines of the space the guest has rented. One sleeping unit or vehicle is permitted per site; parties with multiple tents, RV's or trailers must rent multiple sites.

Are 3rd party RV drop offs allowed?

No, 3rd party RVs are not permitted; the guest staying in the RV must be the person driving in the RV.

Making Flying Flags accessible to all.

We want every last guest to be able to fully enjoy every last amenity at Flying Flags. That’s why our ADA‑compliant property features include:

  • ADA-accessible parking near our entrance
  • Sufficient parking space to allow a ramp
  • Ramp access at all entrances and exists
  • Unobstructed pathways from the parking lot to the entrance
  • Unobstructed pathways from all of the key points of interest within the hotel to any other key point of interest
  • ADA‑accessible pool wheelchair and lift
  • ADA‑compliant bathrooms and showers in select units (Call for details)
  • Our cabins are not ADA-compliant but we have rooms available that will fit your needs at our sister property Sideways Inn.

Can I bring my own firepit?

Guests renting an RV site may bring their own firepit or BBQ. These can be propane or wood burning and must be at least 12" from the ground.

What amenities are available and how much do they cost?

Please see below a list of amenities and their associated cost, if any:

  • Basketball Court: No charge to rent equipment, $50 charge if not returned by 9p.m.
  • Ping-Pong Table: No charge to rent equipment, $50 charge if not returned by 9p.m.
  • Bocce Courts: No charge to rent equipment, $50 charge if not returned by 9p.m.
  • Firepits: Firepits can be rented to RV sites only at $25 per night.
  • Wood: Wood bundles are available at $8 per bundle.
  • Movies: No charge to rent a movie; $50 fee if not returned

What does my rate include?

Your rate includes 4 guests with 4 wristbands to access the pools plus 1 parking pass for RV sites and Accommodations. You may add 2 additional guests to your reservation at $5 per guest per night (6 guests maximum for RV sites or Accommodations over-night). Additional parking passes are charged at $5 per vehicle per night. Parking is based on availability.
